The Light, The Glass, The Transparency Ep Re-release.

$10.00

Originally released in Nov. 2004, “The Light, The Glass, The Transparency” Ep Re-release finds Tyler Read as a four piece band that specializes in crafty, atmospheric, emotional rock songs with a much more indie feel than their Immortal Records Debut: “Only Rock And Roll Can Save Us.” Relying more on vocal harmonies, delay-washed guitars, and lyrical introspection, this disc holds quite a few of what became Tyler Read’s first fan favorites. “New Year” (now named “January”) is a rollicking opener with a mile wide chorus, “Memoirs,” one of Tyler Read’s first songs ever written, is maybe the track that best defines the group’s early sound with its soaring harmonies and lyrical honesty…”Loose Lips Sink Ships” is the epic closer with a haunting outro, rounding out the disc. The Re-release also has two bonus tracks “Michael Jackson Demo” and “Fire Away Demo,” both tracks that would come to be fully realized on their full length. This album was co-produced by legendary indie producer Ed Rose (Motion City Soundtrack, The Get Up Kids, Appleseed Cast) and up-and-comer Eric Bass (The Working Title). While nothing new, this disc offers an interesting snapshot of a young band developing a sound that would soon find a much larger audience. – All American Music Guide
